Chynna Clugston Flores reads LOVE AND ROCKETS
Chase and Joe are back for a new round of reviews, interviews, bickering, and general nonsense. This week’s guest on RCBC is the creator of Blue Monday from last week's discussion, the incredible cartoonist Chynna Clugston Flores who is re-releasing her 2003 comic Scooter Girl at Image Comics, now in color.

Chynna was a blast to have on. Her work on both Blue Monday and Scotter Girl is truly unique and well worth discovering or rediscovering in the newly colored volumes from Image. She discusses much of what Chase and Ed Luce covered last week, providing insight into their favorite aspects of her work. Rather than cover a specific comic, Chynna suggested a general conversation about Love & Rockets. The discussion was wide-ranging covering the many ways in which people first encounter the series to its unique place in American comics today. We had a great time talking with Chynna and hope you'll have just as much fun listening in.

We also cover two new comics in our review segment.

Motor Crush #3

Finally, in The Comics Canon, we take on whether a certain comic deserves to be considered a classic of the medium. This isn’t for obvious cases like Watchmen or Maus. It’s defined for well-loved or forgotten comics that might need to be reassessed. This week we tackle the ever-controversial The Killing Joke created by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland.

We hope you enjoy the continuation of our newest reboot on the Comic Book Reboot Podcast, long may it last.
